Coordinating his tuxedo color with his friends, senior Samuel Choi chose a black tuxedo with a white dress shirt. However, Choi’s dark gray bow tie stands out from the rest of his outfit, specifically chosen to match the color of his date’s outfit.

Choi notes that he wanted to pair his outfit with brown dress shoes that he purchased from Nordstrom last year because the shoes reminded him of the first business competition that he wore them to, a special memory that he hopes will give him confidence.

“I didn’t want to choose something too extravagant and colorful, which would make our pairing seem a bit out of place,” Choi said. “I wanted to complement her colors, so I wanted to [keep] it simplistic: I chose a [dark gray] tie because I wanted to match her dress and further strengthen this complement of colors [with] our corsage colors as well.”
